For many years I have seen people on behalf of BUPA healthcare who have been suffering from the effects of stress or pressure in the workplace. It is estimated that 13 million days are lost each year through stress at a cost of 3.8 billion to employees. Most forward–thinking employers are already putting initiatives in place to demonstrate that they are both concerned about and positively responding to this problem.
I have also worked for periods as a consultant to city investors engaged in high–risk trading, such as hedge funds, where personal levels of stress and accountability can be enormous.
I have also worked extensively in the field of leadership development with a particular interest in maximising creative potential. I provide individual sessions for executives to explore work related issues. This has often proven beneficial, especially to those whose career has recently advanced or for those who have taken on new challenges. I can also help with issues such as career decisions, a tendency to overwork, or with problems getting a sense of balance. |
