Consultations & Fees

Initial consultation: At the first meeting you will be consulted with in order to decide whether psychotherapy or counselling would help and, if so, agree a course of sessions. If not, help will be offered to find a more suitable person such as a psychiatrist, cognitive psychologist or other professional. This usually takes about an hour and can be arranged within a week.

Further consultations: These usually last 50 minutes. They take place regularly over an agreed period, usually at the same time each week.

Fees: Consultation fees ranges from £50 to £85, depending on time of day and personal circumstances. There may be some special low-cost spaces reserved for students in full-time education or low earners.

Consulting room: James has his own private consulting room in Clapham. There is ample parking nearby. It is a two-minute walk from Clapham Common underground on the Northern Line.
